In-home newborn photography | Durham Region
In the last year I made the switch from studio family and newborn sessions to lifestyle sessions in the Durham Region. Lifestyle family photography is the perfect way to capture a family exactly how they are. The sessions seem to be more relaxed (especially if there are toddlers involved!). It’s meaningful and perfect when there is a new baby.
There are perks to in-home sessions! The biggest one being that you don’t have to pack up all your things and go anywhere. Everyone knows that babies (as small as they are) have a lot of stuff. If there are siblings involved in the photos, they tend to be more relaxed because they are in a familiar space. These sessions are all about capturing your family authentically, in your space! I'll send you a few steps on how to prepare for your at home session (it's not a lot). Gather a few of your favourite items for baby, dress comfortably and enjoy the time together.
Other than bringing my camera and necessary equipment, I'll only bring a few small items. These include items like, a large blanket, swaddles, a bow or two, hats and a basket. If baby does sleep well during the session, then I do opt for a basket shot, but these type of photographs are not always guaranteed. In any case, there are many benefits to an at home newborn session! I can't wait to meet you.
